More about us
Chapter One
Where it all began.
Scripture Union of St. Julian evolved in the year 2011 by a wonderful man of God Pr. Mutabaali Emma with a team of anointed young people by then who pushed hard for the foundation of the born-again community in the school. The school administration welcomed the establishment of the Pentecostal community in the school.
Lunch hour sessions were initiated from Monday till up to date with vigilant young people and by 2012 the community had over 200 members who used to gather for Sunday service prayers.
Mr. Mutabaali Emma was indeed an aggressive leader, focused, protective and a serious God-fearing man. His leadership raised great men and women such as Papa Prosper, Mama Faith, Papa Katongole, Papa Kintu, Papa Elijah who were very fiery by then till now.

Chapter Two
A mission that Grew Into Trees
In the year 2016 Pr. Frank Mutebi succeeded the Pioneer of the scripture union Pr. Emma and continued where he stopped from. The continuing committee by then was led by Papa Katongole and it was a massive team, later on a co-teacher by the name Dr. Katula joined forces with the by then leadership committee and raised the community to the next level.
With combined efforts in 2017 the community grew in numbers up to 700 students who used to pray under the tree which today we call the Anagkazo tree, the spirit of teamwork was so great amongst the leaders, they promoted love and hard work. In the same year, the community bought its first Projector and a projector screen, the community bought itself a keyboard, the community bought acoustic drums, the community bought speakers, power amp Mixer, two guitars, microphones and speakers that’s the bass beams and two 15inch speakers, choir increased greatly in number and was led by mama faith. Prayer and sacrificial giving messages were highly emphasized to put the community to another level.
In the year 2018, there appeared a man at school who engaged Pr. Frank glorifying the Lord for what He was doing in the community, the church intensified in prayer and fasting and the number grew to 800 students, the man told me to get a name we should give to our community so that we cease calling it just scripture union. I tried all names in my thinking but all was in vain, this task of getting a name failed. The community greatly thrived between 2018 to 2019 with stage lights, smoke machines, stable choir, true image dancers and the number of ministers increased greatly.
In the year 2022, a new generation of ministers emerged who were skilled, aggressive, passionate and focused towards the work of GOD in the school community, they purchased the first tent ever for the community, they were well mentored, many student pastors emerged to help out with the work of ministry in the dormitories doing spiritual counseling as per the guidance from Papa Frank.
Anagkazo name was discovered in 2022 under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit having attended an evening service at the home church Mercy House Church of the leadership of my apostle Dr. Gilbert and Cissy Birungi, Pr. Ronald from Light house chapel shared about Anagkazo and I was convicted by the spirit of the Lord to use that as our fellowship name, to prove this, many of the students by that time became the word itself.
Anagkazo is a Greek word that means to compel, to drive, to urge, to persuade, to entreat, to convince, to force, to threaten. This has been used basing on LUKE 14:23, it's evident that young people have moved in dormitories compelling their friends to attend church, there was a lot of anointing and grace seen on young people, self-driven, passionate, aggressive and building teams.
Many foundational, mentorship one and disciple classes have been conducted to equip leaders with all skills and knowledge of handling ministry, we have 23 active departments with department heads leading sub committees within departments, all these directly report to the church administrators who report to the associate pastors as per the organo-gram structure, young people joining ministry receive foundational classes to get more knowledge about the fellowship Vision, Mission, Philosophy and fellowship leadership flow before they are given opportunity to serve.
"We don't just teach the Bible — We live it together, one child, one family, one community at a time."
